If the church is to reflect what was vitally important for Jesus’ followers, it is necessary to focus on and diligently pursue what the Gospels, Acts and Epistles reveal.  If this is not the case, then church ‘practice’ will vary, even in significant areas, depending on what any group of believers consider and decide is required.

As this study takes the former understanding, then for a church to function ‘optimally,’ it needs to implement the foundational principles and expressions identified earlier. Suggestions as to how this can be pursued follow.
